The
single-girder crane offers the advantage of a low deadweight.
Low-headroom hoists provide good overall dimensions. Single-girder
cranes are designed to be controlled from the floor.
Longer spans and higher capacity cranes utilize computer-optimized
box section girders. Demag single-girder overhead traveling
cranes of this design offer maximum stability with minimum
deadweight. This keeps the load on the crane runways low, and a
cost-effective design can be selected for the building. They also
offer the benefits of an outstanding crane geometry that provides
excellent travel characteristics.
And not least: optimum adaptation of the crane to the existing
building thanks to the availability of various crane
girder and endtruck connection configurations.
